Privacy Policy

RetroWorth is built to know as little about you as possible. This page explains exactly what the app touches and what it doesn't.

No accounts

RetroWorth has no sign-up, no login, and no profile. We don't collect your name, email address, or contacts.

Your photos

• Photos you take stay in the app on your device. Your collection and its photos are stored locally.
• To identify a game, the app first reads the photo on your device. Only when that isn't enough is the photo sent to our server and passed to an AI vision provider (OpenAI) to name the game.
• Photos sent for identification are processed transiently: they are not saved on our servers and are not used to train AI models. The photo is discarded as soon as the identification completes.

Device identifier

The app uses an anonymous per-install device identifier for two purposes: counting free scans, and linking your subscription to your device. It is not tied to your identity and resets if you reset your device's vendor identifier.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives the anonymous device identifier and purchase receipts — see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Analytics

The app currently runs no third-party analytics. If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated first and the collection will remain anonymous.

What our servers store

• The anonymous device identifier with its scan count and subscription state.
• Anonymous, per-game cached content (such as game descriptions) that contains nothing about you.

Data deletion

Deleting the app deletes your collection and photos. To have your device's anonymous quota record removed from our servers, contact us with the request.

Children

RetroWorth is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
